It has been reported that on Saturday, June 6, at around 3.30 pm, an abandoned rental vehicle (a Nissan Latio) was discovered in the Pear Tree River community along the roadway between Pear Tree River and Bowden by the vehicle’s owner.

Information provided indicates that the vehicle had been rented to Kimani Ayusah Taylor, 28 years old, a security guard by profession. Taylor is from the Cornwall Barracks District in Portland.

The discovery of the abandoned vehicle sparked safety concerns about a female and child. Reports are that Taylor had picked up his two year old child and his girlfriend, Lexton Clayton with the vehicle. His girlfriend is a recent graduate of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF).

It is further reported that subsequently the burnt bodies of three persons were found (a man, woman and a child).

The Port Morant Police were alerted about the incident and the car was carried by wrecker to the police station.
