Livingston and Wangel Warner of Albion Mountain are recipients of a rainwater harvesting system from the Sean Paul Foundation (SPF) and Food For The Poor (FFP) Jamaica.
The system has a a rainwater harvesting shed, a thousand gallon storage tank with a fifty-five gallon drum used for the application of fertilizer and gravity feed drip-irrigation system.
The $315,000 system is made to water according to farm specifications and only needs to be monitored at times of heavy rain.
The rain water harvesting system allows for water to be caught and stored during times of rain. During times of drought water can be bought and stored. The system allows for the operations of the farm to continue without interruption.
